I am a psychotherapist based in Monsey, New York, specializing in developmental trauma and couples work. I am fortunate to have trained with leaders in the field and to participate in ongoing weekly group and individual supervisions with skilled supervisors and colleagues.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a writer and interviewer. I am the author of three biographies—Tell the World, Loyal Soldier, and My Life on Wheels—a novel, Blueprints, and several private family memoirs, and contributed to other works including, Rabbi S. Binyomin Ginsberg’s educational series,Today You Will Learn… My most recent book, Out of the Box (2018), explores the Enneagram personality system and helps readers cultivate self-compassion while moving toward transformative growth and greater authenticity. A particularly meaningful part of my writing career was my work with Links, an organization that supports children and teens who have lost a parent, where I interviewed teens, staff, and others to share stories of loss, resilience, and courage for the organization’s magazines.
In recent years, I have set aside most of my writing projects to focus more fully on my development and work as a mental health professional. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to sit with people, bear witness to their stories, and support them in believing in and creating a better future for themselves.
